Our ministry was given the opportunity to help organize two summer camps, one with children and another with teens. We believe that camps are the best form of evangelism for children, teens and young adults. We have seen a countless number of lives transformed by the Power of the Gospel through camps that we organize every summer. Many of the children and youth who attend these camps do not come froma Christian background either.
During the camps this summer, we organized volleyball tournaments, soccer tournaments went on hikes and built relationships with the camp atendees. However, the most important part was the the Word of God being preached and times of worship and prayer. Each morning we would hold Bible studies about different subjects explaining to them how Jesus wants to set us free. We taught about rejection, depression, unforgivess, anxiety and other issues/problems that they were facing. At night there was a time of worship/prayer and also testimonies and sermons.
Specifically during the camp with the teens, the Lord made Himself so real and touched each person in the camp. Most youth gave their hearts to Jesus for the first time ever at the alter. There wasn’t a single person that wasn’t touched during this camp. It amazes how one experience with God can literally transform a person 180 degrees. The Lord made Himself so real during this week. It was definitely something that boosted our faith. Thank you for praying for these children and for supporting Assured Hope Ministries vision!
